A Vagabond Tale

By SAMANVITHA ORUGANTI - February 1 2025
A Vagabond Tale

Here and there, but being nowhere is a feeling that no disorientation, no psychedelic, or no state of confusion can explain. A lone heart-tugging and strumming on emotional strings fighting a small-scale conversational battle with the mind on returning home can absolutely sum it up.

However, this dilemma presents itself with another challenging question: “What is home?” Is it a place you chose? Is it a place you were born into? Or is it a person you run to whenever you yearn for a sense of belonging? Although seeming simple and logical on the surface, the answer to this question is more deep, complicated, and sometimes heavy.

It may seem ludicrous, but the definition changes as we grow and move on in life. It is ironic how all these phases must be lived to find a sweet spot that might bring respite to an anxious mind and a fidgety soul, loosely translating into a fitting definition of “home.

Until then, every celebration, every festivity, every tragedy, every drama, every romance, and every other genre of existence will invoke a mental state of “here and there but being nowhere!

Until we meet again…..
