Mina Wong has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Educational Association of Canada since 2014. All charitable organizations depend on active Board members. Mina certainly was one. We will miss her.
Hello everyone! My name is Iryna Paltseva and I’m very proud to introduce myself to you as the new editor of Learning Curves.
Anne spent the 25 years of her retirement founding the University in the Community program and editing and developing Learning Curves. She also took on being Vice President of the Workers’ Educational Association who founded and developed University in the Community and published Learning Curves.
Angie Cheng is a parent, worker, and university student. Earlier this year, she told Learning Curves (Spring Issue 2021) how her family of five had lived through a year of COVID. Last week, I asked her to tell me more about her life since coming to Canada twenty years ago.
July 20, 2019 marked the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission which sent the lunar module “Eagle” to the surface of the moon leading to Neil Armstrong’s momentous moonwalk.
